Karmakar Institute of Yoga was established in 1984 in Jamshedpur, India by its Founder President, Professor Prabir Karmakar. He established the Institute not only to teach yoga but also for phenomenal social welfare.
Our aim is to develop yoga culture for everyone, especially for the poor. The Institution keeps its door open free for the poor young children and keeps them off the street. Those, who come to us, can experience the unique healing and preventive power of yoga.
We organize yoga workshops to awaken people's awareness of the power of yoga. Many of our teachers are the now become pronoun teachers over the world. We have thousands of sincere students with unbelievable flexibility, skill and power.

Karmakar Institute of Yoga
We believe in yoga for mankind. Generation after generation, our qualified students will inherit our philosophy.
We hope that we would continue to work in the same manner as we are doing now with complete deviotion.
Our Beliefs:
Shradhya (Regard), Tapasya (Devotion), Seba (Selfless service)
We have been inspired by this triple ancient doctrine and we follow these while practice. Our Institute has tried to reach every where. From poor people to elite society, from young school students to aged people, and from house wives to famous, ambitious and working people.
Bahujana Hitaio, Bahujana Sukhaio cha
Over the years the Institution has organized many yoga competitions. Through the competition, Professor Prabir hopes to create a focus or a mission for the teenagers. Also by practicing yoga, the teenagers can develop a better concentration, a stronger mind and good health.
