Since 1980s Karmakar Institute of Yoga has organized many yoga competitions like, Inter-School Yoga Competition, District Yoga Competition, Inter-Club Yoga Competition, Open Yoga Championship Competition.
Professor Prabir K's has a mission to spread yoga to every level of the society. His belief is that Yoga is meant for everyone, the rich, the poor, the healthy and the sick. He hopes that Yoga Competition can give people the insentive to practice yoga. Subsequence these people can have a health and balance state of mind and body. As for the poor people, by practicing yoga, they can have a better health even if they cannot afford the medicines needed for their diseases. In the India Open Yoga Championship Competition, he also put groups the disables and the senior citizens.
